What is Smart Film?
The base of smart film is PDLC(Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal).
Smart Film is so called "Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal"(PDLC).It is an electronically controlled switchable film which becomes transparent from a opaque state at the flick of a switch.
The liquid crystal molecules line up and the incident light passes through when power is on, the privacy film becomes transparent from an opaque state. On the other hand, when the power is off, the liquid crystal molecules are randomly oriented so that light is scattered, results in opaque state.
Why should power transformers/conditioners be used?
For intelligent Glass & Electric Window Film,the transformer is electrical equipment for electrical privacy glass and PDLC film application. It changes the higher voltage (110-220V)to lower work voltage (48-65V) for electrical privacy glass and PDLC film.
For power the switchable PDLC film or the switchable glass product, we provide different type of power supply, which will fully meet your different requirement for control the products.

How to use the power transformer?
You can simply wire back the finished laminated panel to the transformer by the bus-bars. The transformer can then be switched on / off by a standard lighting switch or a remote control. The smart glass is customized and designed to work in any environment like residential, commercial and over many products and applications like doors, windows and partitions etc. The smart glass can also be installed on existing ones or upgraded project.
